What is Product Description Writer?
Turn a product name and a list of features into a written description, aimed at the platform you are actually selling on. Six tones, four lengths from about fifty to three hundred words, and toggles for bullet points, keywords, a call to action and emotional appeal.
The platform setting is the one that matters
The same product needs different copy in different places, and this is the part most generators ignore entirely.
Amazon. Bullet-led and specific. Shoppers scan the bullets and rarely read the paragraph, so the concrete facts — dimensions, materials, compatibility, what is in the box — belong up front. Keep bullets short enough to read at a glance, and remember Amazon enforces character limits that vary by category, so check the finished text against your category's limits before you paste it in.
Etsy. Story-led, because Etsy buyers are often buying from a person rather than from a brand. What it is, who made it, how it was made, what it is like to receive. Etsy's search leans heavily on your title and tags, so do not expect the description to carry the discovery work — but do use the first couple of lines well, since they show in previews.
eBay. Buyers there are usually comparing specifics and condition. Lead with exactly what the item is, its condition, what is included, and anything about fit or compatibility. Warmth matters less than precision.
Shopify is your own storefront, so nothing is constrained: you can go longer, build the brand voice, and this is the one place where the description itself can rank in Google. Worth the most effort of any of them.
Instagram needs a hook in the first line and nothing wasted. Use the Short length.
General is the neutral option for a marketplace not in the list, or for copy you will adapt yourself.
What you put in decides what comes out
The Key Features box is doing the real work. "Comfortable and durable" produces copy about being comfortable and durable, which every listing on the internet already claims. Measurements, materials, weight, battery life, what it fits, what it does not fit — those produce copy that actually sells, because specifics are what a hesitating buyer is looking for.
Target Customer is worth filling in too. "Working professionals aged 25 to 45" and "students on a budget" produce genuinely different copy from the same feature list, because the objection being answered is different.
About the "SEO keywords" toggle
Worth being straight about. That option makes the writing keyword-aware, but it does not research your keywords — nothing here looks up what people search for or how often. It produces terms that sound plausible for your category, which is not the same as terms that have demand.
Real keyword work happens elsewhere: your marketplace's own search suggestions as you type, the terms in successful competing listings, Search Console if you have a store with traffic. Find the two or three phrases that matter, put them into Key Features, and they will come through in the copy naturally. That is the order that works.
Do not run your whole catalogue through it unchanged
This is the mistake that costs sellers money, so it is worth a section.
Generating three hundred descriptions from the same settings gives you three hundred listings that read almost identically — the same rhythm, the same phrases, the same closing line. Marketplaces and search engines both handle near-duplicate content poorly, and shoppers who browse two of your listings notice immediately, which reads as a shop that does not care.
Use it as a first draft per product, then edit in what is specific to that item. The edit is quick — usually a few real sentences — and it is where the value is. If you have hundreds of products, vary the tone and length across the catalogue as well, so the shop does not read as one template.
What happens to what you type
Unlike the PDF and image tools on ToolsHall, this one is not browser-only: your product details are sent to a language model. For an unreleased product, describe it in general terms rather than pasting an unannounced spec sheet. Usage is capped at 30 runs an hour, which keeps it free without an account.

Remove Background from Image puts product photos on a clean white background, which most marketplaces require for the main image and which matters more to conversion than the copy does. Slogan Generator handles the short brand line, and Meta Description Generator writes the search snippet for a product page on your own store.
