What is Merge PDF?

Merge PDF combines up to 100 PDF files into a single document without sending them to a server. The merge runs inside your browser tab using your own device, so the files you are combining — contracts, bank statements, medical records, a passport scan — are never sent to a server, never queued behind other people's jobs and never stored anywhere for deletion later.

You can also drop images into the same merge. JPG, PNG and WebP files are each placed on their own A4 page, centred and scaled to fit without stretching, so a folder of photographed receipts or handwritten pages becomes one ordinary PDF alongside your existing documents.

Put the files in the right order before you merge

Every file you add appears as a frame showing its first page, its filename and its page count, in the order it will be merged. Drag a frame to move it. On a phone, drag the number badge instead. Each frame has a rotate control, so a page scanned sideways can be turned before it goes into the output rather than after, and a remove control for anything you added by mistake. What you see in the grid is exactly what the finished PDF will contain.

Why 100 files matters

Most free merge tools stop at 15 or 20 files per job, which turns a year of invoices into four separate merges and then a merge of the merges. This tool accepts 100 in one pass. Past about 30 files it shows a note, because the work happens on your device: a very large merge on an old phone will take a while and is better done on a laptop. Slower is the trade-off for not uploading, and it is worth being upfront about.

Nothing is uploaded — here is what that actually means

There is no account, no email, no watermark and no file size ceiling imposed by a server, because there is no server in the loop. Your browser reads the files, builds the merged PDF and hands it back as a download. If you close the tab mid-merge, nothing is left behind anywhere. That also means the tool works on a locked-down office network where upload-based sites are blocked.

After merging

A merged file made from scans is often large. Compress PDF will bring the size down before you email it. If you only needed part of a document, Split PDF pulls out a page range, and Protect PDF adds a password if the combined file is going to someone outside your organisation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser using your device's own processing. The files are never transmitted to ToolsHall or anywhere else, which is why the tool still works when you are offline after the page has loaded.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to 100 files in a single merge. Above roughly 30 files the tool shows a note, because the merging is done by your own device and a very large job will take longer on a phone than on a laptop.

Can I merge images and PDFs into the same document?

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP images can be added alongside PDFs. Each image is placed on its own A4 page, centred and scaled to fit while keeping its proportions, so it sits naturally among the PDF pages.

Can I change the order of the files before merging?

Yes. Every file appears as a numbered frame and the merge follows the order shown. Drag a frame to reposition it, or drag its number badge on a touchscreen. You can also rotate or remove any individual file before merging.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no limit imposed by ToolsHall, because nothing is uploaded. The practical ceiling is your device's available memory, so very large scanned documents merge more comfortably on a computer than on an older phone.

Do I need an account, and is there a watermark?

No account, no email address and no watermark. The merged PDF downloads exactly as your source files were, with no branding added.
