Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
ToolsHall ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website toolshall.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our free online tools and website. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices.
1. The Short Version
ToolsHall is built on a privacy-first architecture. The vast majority of our tools process your files entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to any documents, images, or videos you process using our tools.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect, receive, or store any files you process using our tools
- All PDF, image, and video processing happens locally in your browser — files never leave your device
- We do not require account creation or personal information to use any tool
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for AI model training
3. Information We Automatically Collect
When you visit toolshall.com, we automatically collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website or search engine
- General geographic location (country and city level only)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet)
This information is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is used only to understand how our website is used and to improve our tools and content.
4. Contact Form Data
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message content. This information is stored securely in our WordPress database and used only to respond to your inquiry. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then permanently deleted.
5. AI Writing Tools
Our AI writing tools (including the Grammar Checker, Paraphraser, Text Summarizer, Essay Writer, and others) send the text you submit to the OpenRouter API for processing by AI language models. Important notes:
- Only the text you explicitly submit to an AI tool is sent — no personal information, no files
- We do not store submitted text on our servers
- OpenRouter's own privacy policy governs how they handle API requests
- Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personally identifiable information to AI tools
6. Cookies
ToolsHall uses the following types of cookies:
Essential Cookies
We store your theme preference (dark or light mode) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _gid) to track visitor sessions anonymously. These cookies expire after 2 years. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
We display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free operation of this website. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
Functional Cookies
Some tools store recently used values in your browser's localStorage — for example, the Color Picker stores your recently used colors for convenience. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
7. Third-Party Services
ToolsHall uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — Anonymous website traffic analysis. Privacy Policy
- Google AdSense — Advertisement delivery and monetization. Privacy Policy
- OpenRouter — AI language model API for writing tools. Privacy Policy
- Fluent Forms — Contact form processing and entry storage
8. How We Use Information
- To analyze website usage and improve our free tools
- To display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense to support free access
- To respond to contact form submissions and support requests
- To monitor and fix technical issues with our tools
- To understand which tools are most useful so we can prioritize improvements
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect any information we hold. Since files are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers, the risk of file data exposure is eliminated by design. Contact form data is stored in our WordPress database with standard security measures.
10. Children's Privacy
ToolsHall does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Our tools are general-purpose utilities suitable for all ages. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us immediately at contact@toolshall.com and we will delete it promptly.

Our lawful basis for processing data is legitimate interest (analytics and advertising to support free tool access) and contract performance (responding to contact form submissions). You have the right to withdraw consent, access your data, and request erasure at any time.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons.
